The end of last month and most of May I didn’t play. I took about five weeks off. During this time I went on a 5 day cruise and took some time to study. I purchased a Tesla as I intend to put the car I’m currently driving on Turo. I think it’s extremely important to take breaks away from the game. This is good for your mental health. I’ve planned a trip to Las Vegas, staying for 1-3 weeks in mid-June. I’m excited to share that I managed to book my flight for free using points. For those interested, I used the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card to accumulate points, which I then redeemed for my flight. You can find more information and apply for the card here. This method of travel not only saves money but also maximizes the value of everyday spending.

When I’m there I plan on putting in a lot of volume. This is another reason I wanted to take a break before the WSOP.  I participated in another barber battle in Orlando this time we got second place. I played about 36 hours at the end of the month. I finished down $1,685. I post all my results on instagram and you can check out the highlight section for results. I look forward to playing in a few tournaments in Vegas. I will probably play some of the smaller events and one or two WSOP events. I will pay a package on stake kings sometime in June before I leave. I won’t be playing the main event unless I satellite in and or I’m doing well and sell a piece. Whether I decide to play or not will depend on how the other tournaments and cash games go. I am still creating content but I’m being a little less ambitious for now. I only intended to work on content creation for about 30 minutes a day so I can focus more on poker and other projects. I intend to release at last one video a week and at least one short a week. If I get ahead of schedule I will release more content. If you ever have content ideas please let me know by email or in discord. I am looking forward to the WSOP. While I’m in vegas I will be attending the crush live poker meetup on Sat June 22nd at Fridays at Gold Coast. If you are in town, stop by and say hello. At the beginning of the year I set a bankroll challenge to grow $1K to $100K by the end of the year. I am not meeting my poker goals as expected but I hope to get back on track to see if I can hit some of my goals for the year. With only 7 months left in the year the plan is to refocus. Good luck to everyone playing in events this year at the WSOP. See my article here about this year’s WSOP schedule.
